When you email, it helps if you include:
- The iOS version you're on (Settings > General > About > iOS Version)

- The Shot version (Settings tab > About This App)
- A short description of what you were trying to do and what went wrong

Common questions
Where is my data stored?
Everything you log in Shot — jabs, weight, food, side effects, notes — is stored locally on your iPhone in a SwiftData database. Nothing is uploaded to a server. There's no account. Uninstalling the app removes the local database and all scheduled notifications.
Can I sync between devices?
Not right now. Shot does not integrate CloudKit sync yet. If you back up your iPhone through iCloud or a Mac, your Shot database is included in that backup — but the data won't appear on a second device until you restore that backup onto it.
Does Shot work with Apple Health?
Yes. In Settings > Data Import, you can grant Shot permission to read your weight and lean body mass from Apple Health, and to write your protein intake back. All HealthKit data stays on your device — Shot never transmits it anywhere. You can revoke permission any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Shot.
How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?
Open the paywall, scroll to the footer, and tap Restore. Shot will re-check your Apple ID's active subscriptions and unlock Pro on the new device. There's no separate account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the paywall footer and tap Manage — that takes you to iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, where you can cancel or change your plan. All billing is handled by Apple. We can't cancel or refund on your behalf.
My notification didn't fire.
Check three things: (1) iOS Settings > Notifications > Shot is set to Allow; (2) the Notifications toggle inside Shot's Settings is on; (3) your dose day and dose time in the profile are correct. iOS may briefly delay notifications if the phone is in Low Power Mode or Focus is active — those are OS-level behaviors, not the app.
Can I add a medication that isn't in the list?
Shot ships with the major approved GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Victoza, Trulicity, Rybelsus) plus two investigational ones (Retatrutide, Orforglipron). If yours isn't listed, pick "Other" and use the custom-dose entry — reminders will still work.
Shot showed me a wrong dose recommendation.
Shot doesn't recommend doses. It only shows the dose you told it about. Every calculation, chart, or reminder is based on what you entered. If a value looks off, it means an entry is wrong — you can edit or delete any jab in the Jabs tab. Always follow your prescriber's instructions, not the app.
I want to delete all my data.
Open Settings > Manage My Data > Erase all data. That wipes the local database. You can also uninstall the app — it deletes everything except HealthKit data (which is owned by Apple's Health app, not Shot).
Is Shot medical advice?
No. Shot is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not FDA-cleared, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always follow your prescriber and pharmacist. See the Medical Disclaimer for the full statement.
Feedback and feature requests
Have an idea? A bug report? Something that annoyed you about the UI? Please email jakub.zitko@icloud.com. Shot exists because a friend needed it and asked for it — every good feature in the app came from someone using it and telling us what was missing.
